Porter gives you several options if you no longer want to sell as part of a group you previously joined.
If you no longer want to offer your menu through a group that you previously joined, you have several options:
- You can pause your menu availability or set your menu to "closed" - This is the best option if you are slammed and need time to catch up on orders or need to close unexpectedly but expect to resume selling in the future. The result of pausing your menu or setting your menu to "closed" is that your location name and description remain listed in every group of which you are a part BUT will be displayed as greyed-out with a closed note and customers will not be able to access your menu through any group of which you are a part. (Important note: pausing your menu availability or setting your menu to "closed" makes your menu unavailable through ALL groups of which you are a part.) - You can de-activate your menu's availability within a specific group - This is the best option if you are not actively selling as part of a specific group currently but plan to return to that group at some point in the future. For example, you may be part of Group A on Monday through Thursday and Group B on Friday and Saturday. You can temporarily de-activate your menu from Group B during the days you are selling as part of Group A and vice-versa. When your menu is de-activated within a specific group, your location name and description may or may not display in that group's list of participating vendors depending on the Group Admin's settings. Whether displayed or not, customers CANNOT order from you through a group in which your menu is de-activated. - You can leave a group completely - This is the best option if you do not plan to sell through a group in the future. Leaving a group will remove your location from that group completely. Your location name and description will NOT display in the group no matter what setting the group admin has selected, other vendors in the group will NOT be able to see your location, etc. (You can always re-join a group by following the instructions to "join a group" if you want.)
To leave a group completely, follow these instructions:
- Log in to your Porter Vendor Dashboard at app.orderwithporter.com/login.
- Click on the Group that you wish to leave.
- Click on the "Leave" button next to your location's name in the list of vendors in the group you wish to leave.
- Click on the red "Leave" button to confirm your decision to leave the group.
