Getting started! (Vendor Punchlist)

Getting set up with Porter is super easy. It should take less than 5 minutes if you are an existing Square Seller (and just a few minutes more if you are not). Just complete these 4 steps and you're off and running.

To get started taking orders through Porter, follow these 4 simple steps...

  1. Create your Porter Vendor account and connect your existing Square account (or create a free Square account if you don't already have one) by following these instructions
  2. Toggle "ON" catalog items that you want available to customers through Porter in your Vendor Dashboard by following these instructions.
  3. Review your Customer-facing Porter menu to make sure everything is being presented as you desire by following these instructions.
  4. Share your Porter menus with your customers through the customized URL available in your Vendor Dashboard by following these instructions
We also strongly suggest that you review your modifier settings in Square. The high level of customization that Square permits is great for presenting modifiers exactly as you want, but also makes the process of setting up modifiers somewhat confusing. Since your staff won't be there to help customers navigate through your Porter menu as they are at the counter, it is important to spend some time making sure you have all your modifiers set up to properly represent your menu.
