Printing Porter Orders

You can set up your existing Square-connected printer to print Porter orders.

Make sure the following settings are correct in your Square terminal so that Porter orders print automatically.

  1. Settings > Hardware > Printers > select the printer you wish to use for Porter orders.
  2. Make sure that "Online order tickets" is set to "ON."
  3. Next, press the "online order tickets" link and make sure that "Automatically Print New Orders" is toggled "ON."
  4. Finally, verify that all the categories you want to print are toggled on. If you have only one kitchen printer, this should be set to "All Categories," which is the default option. If you use multiple printers--for example, one printer at the bar for beverage orders and a second in the kitchen for food orders--you can select specific categories to print for the specified printer by clicking the "Categories to print" link and toggling specific categories on and off.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If Porter order tickets are still not printing please make sure that your printer is connected to your Square device either through bluetooth, a USB cord, or by being on the same network if you are using a Wi-Fi printer.
